This paper is dealing with the issue of contemporary American foreign policy, completed with some subjective predictions for the future. The approach, from professional point of view, is made by the perspective of Theory of Contemporary International Relations, Geopolitics and Geostrategic, using a selective bibliography, its mission is to give a short, but compressed presentation of perspectives and challenges of US foreign policy in the XXth century. Placed in the general context of contemporary major events, this analysis is presenting certain key issues by geographic regions, and major problems of US relationship with the European Union and its member states in the mirror of trans-Atlantic cooperation, relations with Middle East, Russia and the post-Soviet region, the Far East and the emerging power of China and Latin-America. |
